Two General Runboard Questions

Maybe someone here can answer these for me. Or if not, hey....at least I tried:

1) Is there a way to do a subject search on the Runboard main page for another board which may be centered around a topic I'm interested in?

(example: Let's say I'm a Doors fan, and I want to find a runboard for The Doors. Is there a simple subject search that will crosslink me to other runboard forums instantly, or do I have to know the url address of the forum before I can go there?)

2) "Verdana-10" is the default font here at this forum....and I suppose the other Runboard forums as well.

Is there a way to temporarily override Verdana-10 and choose another font on a case-by-case basis if I want to, or is it the only font available? I ask because I seem to recall seeing other font styles here, but it hasn't occurred often.

Thanks ya' guys....later. emoticon

Runboard has The Advert, a place where board admins can go list their forums by topic so other people can find it. This forum is even listed there. emoticon

You can change your default font by altering your CSS, which you can find in Edit layout/Colors in your Board Management Panel.

Thank you. Though I don't think I wish to change the font for an entire board, just as a member for random posts as I so choose. Is that possible?

Thanks for the links to the advert page. That seems to be more effective than just typing in random runboard searches via google.

I dont believe you can change your own font at will, but you can change the color, size, bold, italics, etc- in the reply screen.

 I got a question!
How do some people here on the forum get 'quotes' from two seperate posters into just one reply? Is there some trick to it, or is a matter of 'cutting 'n pasting' then typing in the 'whomever said' and the word quote with the little brackets around it?
Whenever I try it - quoting from 2 seperate people in just one reply box - when I try to do the 2nd one, I get a new reply box.

Yes Ed, but they still aint as clever as you - what with all them alphabetical bits to your posts - far superior to all the rest - and no I aint takin the p**s!!! I think all them alphabetical sequences are far superior to all them double quote replies!!! emoticon

That is unkind!

Why not use that energy, and knowledge to help someone who is learning? The only dumb question my students ever had was the one they did not ask.

I started every class with that and I believe it and even try to practice the, "Pass Forward" idea.

I didn't even understand the question!~lol!~ Give'm a chance. Who knows, maybe I will learn something as wel.

Actually it's not so unkind,MrEd has been doing fine all along,he really gets around this very very well, and it's to the point where we're all used to it by now,and we like it.

It's really okay,we'll help out...one of us.

One way is to pull up two screens, one with the content you want to place, and the other with the reply feature opened, you can copy and paste, quote anything from either page, covering easily more than one user reply.

Hope this helps...if not, someone can put it easier.

Seems you simply didn't see the humour. My post was 100% humour in response to Ed and 0% against anybody else.
Unkind? - never
