I was not aware that it was not allowed to tell the thruth on these boards.

Mr. Stattler, it is guite arrogant of you to assume that it's about you and your 'truth' that the thread got hidden. That is one of the most poorly judged speculations, I've heard in a long time.
No need to be sarcastic and outright hostile, things can be discussed in a calm and nonhostile environment.

Hostile? Mr Micstand has been behaving like this for more than a year, and he's allowed to do so. For what reason? Other's are getting banned faster than Mr. Micstand for far less. It can only be because he has something the admins do not have, and that the admins wants it. There's no other reason for letting 1 person disrupt a complete forum.
Anyway, I am not going to discuss your policies, it's up to you. The rest of the Deep Purple community doesn't really care. We do not need this place. We are places where we do not called names by forum's pet users.
You chose to close the whole thread, instead of removing what you thought was inappropriate. That is poor judgement, and not something that people without a powerfeeling would do. What was wrong in that thread, that isn't wrong in any thread where somebody does not agree with Mr Micstand?...or the admins for that sake?.
I am not new here, I've been here more than a year. Not as an active poster, but that you can thank your users, lack of policies and lack of policy enforcement for.

If it's your perception that Micstand has ruined the forum, then be it. I can't change your views.
But to imply that it's because he has something we don't have, frankly said leverage, is just silly.
I have never traded with him nor have I got a desire to do that. I can't speak for the others in administration though, only for myself.
But, we don't have pet users, that's for sure, everyone is equal, but if it doesn's seem so to you, then there may be something to it, I'll look into it more deeper now.
Oh, and the thread isn't closed indefinitely, just until we decide what is the best thing to do. Things are not that simple you know.
Yes, you're not new here, and yes, we don't have any strict policies here which may be our weakness.

Now here's the thing were you go wrong:
I can't remember of a case when somebody 'stood up' to Micstand and was banned right afterwards.
No, nope there hasn't been cases like that, not when it has only been about disagreeing with him.
And about closing threads, you know, we are not always here, we don't always react as fast as we would want to. Maybe that's one of the reasons why you have the perception you have.
You are just vaguely implying something without anything to back your claim up.

With "name calling?" I don't recall doing any of this to you, and if you were following the topic, you would realize that you had jumped in on me, with a completely irrelevant (?) to the topic, in the first place, other than I had mentioned to someone, about registering at other forums, which wasn't directed at you, but you felt compelled to interrupt with a (?) and it seems after reading my exchange with the troll who butted into it, you have some backlash for me... recourse?
I think it would have been better, if you had simply answered my (?) concerning your original (?) than to do what it's looks to me, like you did... must have been pretty nasty, but obviously not related to the question you asked me, had you stuck to that, I don't think we'd be having this conversation.

I'll say a couple of word to this.
Yeah, you have a different definition of a troll than for example me, so when you're here would you please abstain from using that word as carelessly as you do now and stop labeling people as trolls, as things (and people) aren't always what they look like.
Because that's one of the reasons why some people might get upset.

Obviously, who the trolls are, and just how many usernames one of them operates under, is something you have sadly neglected to investigate.
I have been replying for the last year, to 3 of them, and one of the 3, has admittedly used an unaccountable amount of usernames.
I find you to be highly misinformed on who's who here.
The only troll bashing I do, is of trolls, not people I might happen to merely assume are trolls.
But this is because I know who they are, and you don't.
It's very simple, you have been a bit misguided, in a misguiding area.
I would like to stop you, while nothing is damaged, and say that it isn't the first time, someone has drawn such conclusions, for the very same reasons, then they get to know the routine.
If you think the staff does any more than tolerate me  as I tolerate the trolls, then please, pay more attention to the situation.(they are completely clean)

Sure, no problem at all, however, we both know who I define as trolls, and I never call anyone who does not fit the profile, a "troll" there are a couple who have gone troll, on me in particular, and do not bother anyone else, but if you haven't noticed, are using all kinds of inflammatory usernames lately, singleing me, and the subjects I focus on, completely out.
Yet you guy's wait for a more serious situatution to occur, when you know it's going to happen anyway, and that, of all operations, is letting things get out of hand, when they can be put a stop to, before that happens, IMO.
I see no reason for you to suggest that I might be calling people who don't troll, "trolls" and I'm positive you can't produce any evidence of it.

However you define trolling, if multi nick using, for ones self amusement, isn't in the picture, then I'm right, we do have different definitions for what a troll is, and is not.
Is there a list of people here, that you would like to produce, that I have called trolls, that are not?
I guarantee you, I have not done so, to any upstanding member of the forums, which the trolls, certainly don't wish to be classified as, they have all told me this, they don't want peace, harmony, or any type of association, other than to be allowed to menace people of their choice, at will, and you allow them to... as long as you don't do away with their antics, they are not a positive influence of any kind here, and if anything, you keep them around out of respect of some sort, like myself, accepst that I would never play such games in your forum, I'm not here to do that, they are, and if you like it, so be it... but positive vibes, will always be compromised because of it, and if you only want one vibe, isn't positive the one you aim for, in general?
