They've GOT to do this.

I agree 100%. That's the only way to do it. I remember seeing The Who on the Quadraphenia tour they did in the 90's and they added a singer, guitarist and a horn section (although the latter was needed for 5:15). It was such a big production and they lost so much of thier raw energy. When they do that it gets so adult contemporary. And that's not how I'd like to see Cream.

Definitely. And they shouldn't be playing the Royal Albert Hall. It should be the Mean Fiddler!

Oh no....it'd have to be Leeds University Refectory. A great venue. Not too big and not too small and with great acoustics.

Believe it or not, I saw Ten Years After there in 1969.....I was three at the time emoticon

Some other bands I've seen at Leeds Uni -
If, Leon Russel, Heads Hands And Feet, Average White Band, Rory Gallagher, Nils Lofgren....er....oh yeah, I HEARD the Rolling Stones. This was because I didn't have a ticket, but a few of us went down to stand outside and you might as well have been inside with the racket they were
making emoticon

Is that where The Who's Live At Leeds was recorded? My mate's dad was at that one!

Sounds like a good venue to me! And not a million miles away from here I live! Hope Eric is reading this! emoticon

Well, if he's any sense he will...but, like I say, he's a odd ball sometimes....bit like most geniuses?

Yes, the Who's 'Live At Leeds' was at the very same place. Deep Purple also played there a few times in their MK2 guise.

Alas, I missed 'em emoticon

Re: Anyone for Cream?

Any websites someone can recommend for CREAM as I'm looking for experts/trainspotters of the band's live recordings. I believe not all of their professionally recorded live performances have been issued except what was issued on their original albums.

1. Wheels of Fire & the two Live Cream Volumes: March 1968 six shows were recorded in San Francisco (Fillmore and the Winterland Ballroom)
2. Live Cream Volume II also had three songs from 4 October 1968 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena, Oakland.
3. Goodbye: 19 October 1968 The Forum, Los Angeles
4. Farewell Concert: Two shows at RAH with terrible camera work of too many closeups.

They were supposed to have gotten back together this year...they did rehearsals this past fall but according to Jack, Ginger pissed Eric off so much he walked away and said forget it.
