Midnight Blue
Is there a chance of trying to get some classic Midnight Blue material reissued on CD (there are probably several European AOR labels that do that sort of thing, MTM, Escape, Frontiers etc. )?
It's a shame not to have something documenting that band (which by many is regarded as one the great UK rock bands of its time, in the Thunder/Gun/Quireboyes etc. mould) as I'm sure me and other fans not old enough to be around that time have only heard the odd tune here and there...

Re: Midnight Blue
MB came about 9 months to late.
All the majors had their rock bands by the time we came along most of whom you have mentioned. We signed a publishing deal with Chrysalis and the word went out we were looking for the 1 million pound deal. All crap of course. So the company's were really scared off. We were great live and had some good songs. We played the circuit for 9 months and never got THE DEAL so people became twitchie and started following trends.
Writing as individuals rather than as a band.We lost direction and Alex got offered the GUN gig and that was that.
Several companys have asked to put a MB / Chain package together with lots of bonus tracks as well as the MB video for Makin Love but the songs from both bands are just 8 track demos.
Maybe if I get some time later this year I can look more in depth at the idea.
