Re: Slaves and Masters.
Glover's bass sound and work is excellent on this album.

Re: Slaves and Masters.
I've always liked Glover's playing, its almost McCartneyish.

Re: Slaves and Masters.
I bit too much "going through the motions" on this record, for me. Solid playing, nothing more.
I very much prefer his playing nowadays, especially on stage where he simply rules!

Re: Slaves and Masters.
I think he plays more fills etc on that record than on any album before it, and the sound is beefier, in places crispier. Actually, there is stuff going on I haven't really noticed before. Have had the album playing in the car for some time now, always fruitful to do that as a new enviroment makes you spot new things.
But I agree, he really blossomed during the Morse era.

Re: Slaves and Masters.
His basswork on King of Dreams alone is stellar...its what made me think of McCartney. But agree about how he's changed in the Morse years. Ritchie likes bassists to just hold down the low end. Its almost like Roger reverted on TBRO then from Purpendicular on he expanded on what he did on S&M.

Re: Slaves and Masters.
I have never seen this video before. It has FITB and FIAD as the soundtrack and some nice home video clips from the Greg Rike studios rolling.

Yeah, its a bonus video on the New, Live & Rare dvd. Pretty cool clip and probably the only official way left to get F, I & D.

The other bonus videos are Mk Morse doing Hush and an extended version (with studio footage) of Under The Gun without the fadeout....Ritchie just blazing away!
