Re: Dio then versus now

The two recent Dio albums certainly are better than than his 90's output and Magica.

Are they as great as his 80's output? I don't think so, but were good anyway.

Remember Dio is also 62.5 years old. Most of his peers are collecting Social Security by now.

Oohhh whaa oohh..here we go again.
I've said it before. I don't care how old or handicapped someone is. I won't buy thier product (unless it's for charity) if it doesn't live up to standards. Dio still sounds great live, whether he is 65 or was 25. But the CD's are very generic HM and I've had enough. Gillan sounds like crap at whatever age he is and I've had just about enough of that also. I'm content to listen to thier output when the quality was up to par and there is plenty of it that I don't have to put up with substandard rubbish because it sounds good for thier age.
I won't boink a 90 year old woman because she is great in the sack for a 90 year old woman.

You mean "Once upon our yesterdays"? Hey this album is much weaker then "Master of the moon"! Of course the second Cornerstone is really, really good but the third one happened to be such a big turkey that I was nearly shocked when the CD finished playing. I tried to listen to it once againg and it still sucked. Maybe the 3rd chance will do? emoticon
