Tommy Bolin at My Father's Place 1976
In 1976, Tommy Bolin did a gig at My Father's Place in Roslyn N.Y.. This gig was broadcast on radio station WLIR. Does anyone have a copy of this show. I had a cassette, but alas over time it got lost . Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, the Bolin Archives did a good job of EQing that radio show; their release is cleaner than the boots that were/are in circulation (I have a few versions of it!). Jim S

Re: Tommy Bolin at My Father's Place 1976
I've got about 5 minutes of Bolin video footage, claiming to be from My Father's Place. It's the grainiest, crappiest sounding film I've ever seen. It's terrible, and barely audible. Was the whole of this show filmed, and does a complete recording exist, and is it better sound quality?

I was not aware of any video from the gig. The audio was great (although Tommy was obviously in an altered state of consciousness). I would imagine the newrelease from the archives is even better.

The drum solo in Marching Powder is really amazing. What a shame that Michael Walden later mainly produced stuff from Whitney Houston.

Re: Tommy Bolin at My Father's Place 1976
Not just Whitney Houston but Narada Michael Walden
was a king of funk and soul in his own right.
Check out his solo stuff, very wild most of it,even diso
at times,he also did some stuf with Rufus and Chaka Khan
and a long list of other soul artists.
The guy is great, not just a drummer but an all round
musician.
