Jon on ZDF on Jan 4
Tsunami Benefit Show on German TV
Jon Lord was scheduled to appear on a special TV show to raise aid money for the Asian tsunami devastation.
"Wir wollen helfen - Ein Herz für Kinder" ("We Want To Help - A Heart For Children"), recorded in Berlin, was broadcast on ZDF from 20.15 to 21.45 CET on Tuesday 4th January. Jon was listed as being one of The Soulmates band along with the likes of Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull, and Bobby Kimball from Toto_ a reprise of the band which played on the "50 Jahre Rock" show in 2004. They are apparently due to finish the show with a version of John Lennon's 'Imagine'.
HAS ANYBODY SEEN IT?

If it was broadcasted, then I guess someone saw it.

I've seen most of the broadcasts, but not all. Unfortunately I missed a rehearsal report from a regional TV station the day before the St.Wendel concert.
I have only the realvideo and no wonder tools to create a DVD quality video from it ;-)

The Soulmates with Jon, Ian Anderson, Bobby Kimball, Leslie Mandoki, Paul Carrack and Kathy Malua only played Imagine at the end of the show.

Re: Jon on ZDF on Jan 4
Well, they at least didn't play SOTW. How did Imagine sound, did Jon play organ or piano?

Re: Jon on ZDF on Jan 4
Jon played piano and the version sounded as strange as every version of the song where different people sing it...

Re: Jon on ZDF on Jan 4
I believe you. Certain songs simply shouldn't be performed by anyone else except the original performer.
