I didn't even look like she did, she turned away her head from the mic and you could still hear her sing on the same level as before.
And btw, you will never hear someone sound exactly (!) the same live as on record, every phrase exactly sung as on record...

I have just finished watching Beyond The Notes Live and it's stunning! Simply superb. A very good concert, well performed and so very fresh. The Sarabande classics work perfectly well with the new stuff. Jon, thanks very much for that DVD!

Re: Live DVD "Beyond The Notes"

I got the DVD in Melbourne at my local record shop at a standard price - it was a bit of a (very pleasant) surprise to see it there given the limited overseas release! There were about three copies too, another surprise. Maybe there are advantages to living in the same town as Drew Thompson (and following the same football team).

I've watched the first half of the show so far, and very impressed with the audio quality. The camera work is good too, although nothing special. The first half of the performance is good stuff, with a heavy smattering of Sarabande material.

I'd promise a complete review once I've gone through the full DVD, but I'm not confident I'll have the time over the next couple of weeks - I'll see how I go.

One interesting point to me was the very wierd instrument weilded by the guitarist. It seemed to have the strings tightened in the body of the guitar rather than at the end of the fretboard.
