Re: Has Jon Lord ever lost his temper on stage?

Hey I'm a huge fan of Glenn but as bad and annoying as he was singing onstage during the latter days of Mark 3 and Mark 4, I'd be yelling at him every night!

There's a 1985 Scandinavian TV interview from the PS tour, where Gillan talks about religious fanatics in America, who, during a US gig finally pissed Jon off so much (down the front at his side of the stage) that he had enough and knocked his organ over in anger ! Very unlike him, but so the story went.

I remember that on the first night at the Albert Hall in 1999, Lord almost stopped the show!
They started two times the intro of the second movement, but people kept yelling stuff like "Speed King,...HS,...".So Jon came to the mic and said that those people were ruining the show and that they should leave the hall and go yell in a [sign in to see URL] they did(forced or not...).I remember beeing worried that Lord would stop the show there, he was very upset!
At the end of the show, Gillan thanked eveybody and said that Jon had so much tension that he was emptying his guts out! That just shows how much Lord cares for his Concerto.

No I will be at the first show of the north American tour in Vancouver B.C.
They haven't played the northwest since 1985,so it will be nice to not have to travel down south to see them for once.

Which show are you catching and what more can you tell
us about it being filmed for dvd???
This is the first I've heard of this great news. emoticon

Well, AT, Paice's job/instrument are a great way to give vent to any frustration(s) he may have been feeling - who'd know if he did lose his temper? Besides his kit, that is? emoticon

Wouldn't the same apply to the others? For instance, IG could scream til he calms down. And JL has bashed his various organs quite extensively over the years, you know.

There's a lovely bit with RG fornicating (sort of) with the amps on the ScandNight video. Maybe he did that out of frustation ;-)
