Could this have some kind of revenge factor for when Ozzy had Dairies remastered and had Daisley and Kerslake's parts redome and cutting them out of the picture. Although i don't see the MEEK selling to many cd's.

Re: Rage against the Barnes

Admittedly, I haven't had too much exposure to Jimmy Barnes' singing - only a couple of songs he did on the Lost Boys soundtrack (I think one of them was with Michael Hutchense from INXS, but I could be wrong). They were good songs, but I didn't really care one way or the other about his voice.

On the other hand, I really like Bob Daisley and Steve Morse, and I think it goes without saying that I'm a fan of Don Airey's. Even though I don't really agree with remaking old Ozzy songs, I would like to hear how they sound with someone singing who doesn't sound like Carol Channing on acid! Nothing against Ozzy, mind you - I really like him a lot. He just has a very distinctive singing style, and I think it'll be interesting to hear another take on his songs.

Yes it was actually INXS with Jimmy Barnes guesting and
in the video, looking and sounding like a dead ringer for
Brian Johnson of AC/DC.

I'm just glad Barnsey never got the job in Purple
back in 89'.

I never actually saw the video - just listened to the CD. I think I'm going to have to dive into my CD collection and give it another listen, now, and try and picture what he will sound like singing Ozzy songs. Should be interesting.

I hope Steve Morse won't be a guest in The Osbournes!

Me too, Larry, me too! Of course, we then had to endure Le Squeely One getting the gig! The lesser of two evils? I'm still not sure...
