Rage against the Barnes
So the new "supergroup" is called The RAGE...Morse/Airey/Kerslake/Daisley.
I thought Lord was involved in the project.
Anyway I guess my point here is that with Barnes on vocals it won't be that "super" of a group! Why, why, why does that guy get chosen to be lead singer on such projects. He already ruined Lord's Hoochie Coochiemen and made a TERRIBLE version of When a Blindman Cries (a.o.)...
Does anybody likes him here?

Re: Rage against the Barnes
Impossible to have a "supergroup" with Barnes singing!

Re: Rage against the Barnes
The name has been changed to THE MEEK.
Why they are doing these song's is beyond me,
Jimmy Barnes is not Ozzy and should not even try to sing
his song's.
Steve Morse has already been getting a considerable amount
of bad criticsm for his take on Blackmore, how on earth
can he do any better doing Rhoad's material,
please don't get me wrong here but Ritchie is original
and Randy was even more original with his own sound,
and style being apart of a later generation of axe slingers. This must have been an equal challenge for him and if it is not kept to the classic's being done with
respect to the original's then it has already flopped.IMHO
I really don't have much else to say about the rest of the guy's in the project.I have big doubt's about this being very good.

Re: Rage against the Barnes
I completely agree with fatLarryandHiscar!
Jimmy Barnes is an awful singer, and even if Osbourne may not be everyone's favourite, the man has a unique voice and style!
As for Morse I'm sure he'll do a good job but what's the point in re-making some Ozzy tracks?
Is it just a favour to Daisley and Kerslake or did they start composing a new album but ran out of time???
Anyway, I doubt (I hope I'm wrong)this will be a great cd.
