Machine Head live DVD
What do you think about this DVD? I ordered it few days ago. Is it b/w or color concert movie??? I saw few pics of Live In Denmark (I think that it´s same, isn´t it?), which was b/w. What about sound quality? I think that most interesting is setlist of this DVD which is really EXCELLENT!!!
01. Highway Star
02. Strange Kind Of Woman
03. Child In Time (!!!1972 LIVE VIDEO!!! )
04. The Mule ( historical drum solo on video too)
05. Lazy
06. Space Truckin´ (closer of basic set, isn´t it?)
07. Fireball (1st encore)
08. Lucille (classic r´n´r by DP... )
09. Black Night (3rd and last encore)

Re: Machine Head live DVD
I have it too, but my copy is a Brazilian bootleg and the quality ain't that good.
It's b/w, and you're right, it's the same as Live in Denmark.
Btw, the performance is stellar!

Re: Machine Head live DVD
The sounds is...poor. It´s far from being as good as on Live In Denmark, which also was the reason why the soundtrack was released and improved(I think). The performance is good, the letdowns are only the bad camerawork, the lack of colour and the below average sound.
But for some weird reason it´s still a must-have!

Re: Machine Head live DVD
What pisses me off is that the Brazillian bootleg says it's 5.1 but it's not.

Re: Machine Head live DVD
I have the Brazilian DVD and the video Tape(Scandinavian Nights) that I got from the DPAS. The tape has a better sound (IMHO).

Re: Machine Head live DVD
What pees me off most (I have the VHS) is Blackmore really giving it some on the first couple of tracks before the director even realises he's there!

Re: Machine Head live DVD
The lack of color is not negative to me. If the tapes wasn't in black and white, the video quality would be probably worse nowadays...

Re: Machine Head live DVD
I have a killer dvd player software program that has enhaced video effects, this makes it look better in:
abstract
vintage
3-D
reverse negative and a few others,
vintage looks sort of yellow and is very nice, abstract is very cool, giving it an effect like the old Beat Club videos.
