I agree on the burning speed.

The Wav is not the problem it's the cd-rom drive, when reading audio.

I haven't got any links, though there should be info on http://dvdrhelp.com and a bit on EAC's own homepage.
I don't use EAC myself, as it doesn't run on Linux.

I have tried to rip a track several times, with other software though, and the wav filesizes were indeed different each time.

There's a lot of hysteria in this matter, and I am no purist, as long as one is honest about the source, when one is trading, I couldn't care less, though I won't have anything to do with mp3, no matter the bitrate.

Unfortunately there's a lot of boot's out there that's mp3 sourced.

So far the only argument I can find is between AC3 and WAV. WAV is the purist form for of an audio signal on a PC. AC3 is a compression format and the file is smaller. I will keep searching.
