Your Saddest Song
What's the song that makes you the saddest to hear? It can be by any artist, any genre.
What's the tune - hell, name a couple/few if you want - that chokes you up or even reduces you to a crying, weeping little baby schoolgirl? ( )
Two come right to mind for me, "Old Shep" by Elvis Presley and the one I think is gonna get my final nomination - "Old Doc Brown" by Hank Snow. I recently played the latter for my younger brother who was visiting with his family - and just like when our Mom would play it when we were kids, he started to get choked up. I, just like I would do when we kids, would turn away or leave the room so it wouldn't look completely hypocritical when I mocked him for acting like a crying, weeping little baby schoolgirl over a stupid song.
ps - I decided not to put what could be the saddest/most mounful of all - in my non-humble opinion - "Taps" (which does have lyrics to it, in case people didn't know).

What the hell are you doing, Ed? After your first sentence I started thinking about is there such a song, but now I can only say "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion or "You are not alone" (preferably with the video) by Michael Jackson!

Trying to make people cry and weep like little baby schoolgirls. I would've thought that that was obvious.

No Laughing In Heaven.
Go through hell to get in Heaven, only to find out it´s hell. Nothing more sad than that.

Yeah, that is a great song. Have you heard the boyband cover version? It's criminally horrible, the people responsible for it should be put to prison.
