Re: What movie did you watch lately?

Neil Young: Heart of Gold.

Not really a movie, but I saw it in a cinema and it was directed by Jonathan Demme. So it counts.

It's a concert in Nashville where NY presented the 1st time the Praerie Wind album. So it's quite country... too much country for me actually.

The 2nd half are NY acoustic classics.: I am a Child, Harvest Moon, Heart of Gold, Old Man, Old King ( emoticon ), needle, Comes a time....

My highlight was the last song when the credits were already scrolling down the screen. Neil, alone in the theater, playing a wonderful version of Old laughing lady.

Overall, a good concert if you like his country folk songs. I rate it 7/10.

I watched a DVD of the Road To Istanbul again yesterday, starring Stevie Gerrard and directed by Rafa The Gaffer! Best dvd I've ever seen. Does it count? It's like all the best movies, with tension, shoot outs, and a superb cast! Brilliant script, too!

Yup. And like Hollywood films, it has an implausible ending! emoticon

Amadeus: Rocked my world! Fantastic movie!

William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet: An abomination, couldn't finish it. Go Leo...

Saw parts I and II: Really absorbing, clever slasher flicks. I reccomend this one!

That's such a love/hate film. I think you can either accept the way it's made or you can't. I couldn't either.

It's well made on a technical level, it looks nice and in well paced, but I found the use of the original script to be really alienating...

U have to give points for trying something new with this version of Romeo and Juliet....but it just didn't work....

On a similar highbrow vein I saw Talladega Nights yesterday. It's OK, but it's not nearly as funny as I'd been lead to believe.

It was not too probable that I would not like this movie, since P.S. Hoffmann surely is one of my top 5 actors. And his acting performance is simply amazing.

But I also liked the rest of the movie! Gotta read the novel "In cold blood"!

I finally saw the Evil Dead again after a few years yesterday. Got the Book Of Dead Special Edition from the UK. Great bonus material, I love the outtakes!
