Cream Concerts Approaching

May the 2nd 2005 - an emotive and historical day approaches as Cream prepare for the Royal Albert Hall return.

The last time they played together in public was in November 1968 at the same venue.

Wonder how it will go?

I'll be there on 3 May. As long as they steer clear of Eric's solo catalogue, it should be cool. The first note of Wonderful Tonight and I'm out of there.

That would have been great, but unfortunately I can't go to their shows :-(!

What about Layla (electric version of course) from Eric's solo catalogue?

Well that´s not really a solo tune as such is it?

Yeah, but if he starts playing that, there could be a domino effect...

Ha! I'm there on Monday.....to think, we could have met.....well, no hard feelings, eh?

God struth (the real one....not Eric), I hope they don't consider what you say. I like a lot of EC's solo stuff but it would be against the spirit of the event to start slotting in any individual's work.

Another concern is the use of additional musicians which I wouldn't be happy about either.

Not true. They played at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.

Hell, you're right. Forgotten about that. Think it was January '93 though?

Yes, it isn't really a solo tune, but I thought that Scarabus didn't want to hear anything that Eric has done without Cream and that the word "solo" didn't have this exact meaning then.
By the way, it is hard to tell solo tunes from not solo tunes then! Where can we make the dividing line?
