BBC In ManU Quandry?
As the dust fails to settle over Glazer's inevitable takeover of ManU, the BBC appears to have sunk into a morbid state of teeth gnashing over this once great club's forthcoming slide into receivership.
Witness the continual coverage and arranged phone-ins on BBC Radio Five Live giving ManU fans the biggest possible and most supportive public mouthpiece available.
See the stream of images on the BBC's news website showing ManU fans grouped behind banners decrying Glazer's takeover of this once great club.
Observe the BBC's 'editorial' process that publishes e-mails from ManU fans saying 'we don't want to be another Leeds'.
If Glazer's debts are as big as reports say then it's not buy-buy ManU......it's bye-bye ManU

Isn´t it the typical situation with a hostile take over? Anyway it´s only football.

Hostile, friendly? What's the difference?
Answer: Only time will tell.
American business men are some of the toughest and most uncompromising in the world. Therefore, it could all work in the club's favour......or?

If it works in the favour of the club, it´s a friendly take over. As you said, Only time will tell.
It seems the share-holders have no problem selling their shares to the highes bidder. No-one has stopped any of the fans from buying the shares either, afterall they were not that expensive.
It´s just business.

Unlikely, but we can hope!
It's good to see those arrogant Manc supporters a bit worried. They have been only too happy to see their club turned into a money-machine if it meant winning loads of trophies. Were they voicing concerns when they were winning three Premierships in a row? Were they heck!

Well said, TMWTA! And youi might be interested to know my ongoing battle with the BBC over football bias resulted in the following e-mail being sent to the Glazer Take-Over 'Have Your Say' section on the BBC News Website as follows -
----------------------------------------
'Why is it Manchester United fans against the Glazer take-over get all this free publicity from the BBC? It wouldn't be anything to do with favouritism, would it? Glazer is doing nothing wrong. If he is, why don't the fans take him to court?'
------------------------------------------
You'll deduce that there's about as much chance of that being published by the BBC as there is the possibility of them ever accepting that prejudice is rife within the corridors of that ivory 'effing tower. And how about this for a fitting scenario -
Leeds up next season under Blackwell and ManU down in the resulting chaos after Fergerson resigns in the close season. Like you say Axeman, we can hope

Re: BBC In ManU Quandry?
Well, I am especially unsympathetic towards ManU fans because Ruud van "Horseface" Nistelrooy helped send Southampton down yesterday. In addition, after the match had ended, Irish thug Roy Keane came out onto the pitch for a warm-down and gestured gloatingly towards our fans.
Even if we had stayed up I genuinely couldn't care less about ManU. They deserve everything they are getting right now.

Yeah! Boo ManU! Boo van Nistelrooy!
There went Southampton down with the best goalie of the league, Antti Niemi.
