Re: any1 like meat loaf??
Meat Loaf + orchestra should be a match made in heaven. If ever anyone wrote songs that should translate to an orchestral setting, it's Jim Steinman.
I suspect that the reality falls far short of the dream, however. If Meat's in the same vocal form as he was in January, then I dread to think what this sounds like.
Classic Rock magazine have given it a 2-star review this issue.

Re: any1 like meat loaf??
Bat out of Hell is one of my all-time favourite albums. But apart from that, Meat's career has been a bit spotty. I'm not really interested in seeing him live any more.

Re: any1 like meat loaf??
Singing on Ted Nugent's Free For All album in 1976 was the best thing he ever did. Other than that I could take him or leave him.

Re: any1 like meat loaf??
...I'll take Meat and Nugent in the Amboy Dukes over that anyday, but not a big fan of either of them.
Can anyone shed some light on Meats problems with Deep Purple, generally speaking of the Knebworth '85 fiasco????

Re: any1 like meat loaf??
I wasn't aware of any problems between them. His set at Knebworth was very disappointing for me, definitely a low point of his career.

Re: any1 like meat loaf??
Aparently he wasn't happy with how Purple seemed to do buisness.
He and John Prine recorded a song about them called "Rock&Roll Mercenaries",the title of the song is directed at Deep Purple, and speaks for itself.

Re: any1 like meat loaf??
Where the heck did I get "Prine" from?....yes,John Parr it was.
Do you know the story BigJ?
There was a nice big spread in Kerrang about it,Meat really let Purple have it in that article, can't remember the details, but he ripped on them big time.

Maybe Ritchie's recommended a diet.
