Re: Cries for Help

Yes Brian your correct I have nothing against Trading with newbies I've helped many get started, after all we were all newbies at some point. But I will be more cautious next time I'm approached for a trade.
By someone I have not Traded with in the past.
Also I would like to point out that I don't recall mentioning the name of the person who shafted me.
So I can't understand what all this vouching for is?

I don't think anyone had a "go against" you personally. I certainly didn't, or at least it was not on purpose. But in your reply to MrsSnap you wrote: "The new traders loss not ours", and that could be interpretated like that you didn't want to trade/help out newbies. I know from our (relatively short) email correspondance that you're a nice guy. (No not trying to talk you into a tradeemoticon

Why would anyone do a blank's for postage deal without
waiting for the blank's to arrive first anyway?
I don't get it,it's not a wise thing to do,what do newbies think?Like someone would actually send out the show's using there own cd's in the first place.
You get the show's on the cd's you send out,why should anyone provide them in advance? That's not trading that's giving,on the other hand if your trading boot's straight accross then that's a whole different ballgame. Then if
you get burned I can see plenty rason to be angry.

It's faster. The trade is out of the door faster, can concentrate on the next trade.

Generally I can't see a problem in that, as long as people sent what is agreed on. Same thing as with a standard trade.

Can't see a problem, generally speaking.

Doesn't matter if it's a standard trade or a blanks and postage. Same rules apply. (except for the postage part)

Heres an unmitigated apology to Howaythelads who turns out to be THE trader in Newcastle.I am sorry.Iwas not aware who you were.I was more concerned that other people might read and misunderstand what you meant, which is what I have done.Obviously I now feel like a right pillock.

Yes Mrs Snap, I agree. My "listening" stack is way to large at this moment. Even if I get lucky and listen to each show that I have in the stack, it will take close to 4 months. Just not enough time in the year. When you do free up, I would love to strike up a trade with you. emoticon

I'll take you by your word emoticon

Thanks to all of you who vouched for me.I do appreciate it,and dont get me wrong,I am not having a go at Howaythelads personally. If new traders are not given a chance then you end up with basically a closed shop on the forum which would I feel would lead to stagnation.Part of the joy of trading is being in cotact with people from all over the globe who all share a common passion.
Oh and Nighthawk, I wait with bated breath for the elusive list :-)

Well MrSnip that's just all the more reason I
could have REALLY benifited from trading with you.
It's the first I've heard of anybody doing this
as I've said before I may be new to the digital trading
buisness, but I'm by no mean's new to the buisness of mail order collecting.
It's too bad,I could have been doing buisness with you
and I would have been very grateful indeed.
All of my sometimes slightly arrogant behavior aside of course. emoticon
I know everybody has their own trading policy and rules and such, but your way of doing it is definetly perferred.

Well first of all, we are not in the game at the moment.

Second, when we de come back, rules will be changed for all new trades, except those people we have already traded with.
