Re: Deep Purple and money
Things have changed in music as in all show business and sports.
In the past a band like DP had to work hard for their money. Nowdays a couple of US top5 singles doing some novelty crap and you're a millionaire.
Hmmm. I guess I should try to do that. Has there been any ugly, early 30s men on the US charts lately? If not, I'll start writing my hit single today. I promise that it WILL drive the kids crazy and seriously annoy any rock fan that hears it!

Dave Grohl.
Oh yeah... but he's not a frontman, so it's okay.
Because I can't really play keyboards, I'm going to 'write' the riff with that instrument. Must be playable by using one finger only!
I'm telling you, if you want a share of my coming success, now is the time to give me money (booze, girls, cars, a key to your Riviera manson...) for promotion costs etc.!

And was the drummer in the immensely overated Nirvana.

Oh sorry, I mixed him to someone else. Indeed, Foo Fighters. They have some good songs, like the Flying song.

Re: Deep Purple and money
I quite like the new one that gets a lot of airplay lately, what´s it´s title again? He really seems like he sings for his life, not technically impressive but he seems to put quite some emotion into it, I like that.

I'm not sure which is the latest hit and which was the one before that. But yeah, a lot of drive and guts in his singing. I wonder how long his throat can take it!

I believe you have figured out the basics already!
Feel free to send me an early version, and I'll tell you if it's annoying enough!
