Exactly 12 years ago today we witnessed the demise of the greatest band in rock history.

It's just that the crematorium forgot to scatter the ashes. They're still lying at the bottom of the pyre. Since there was no real funeral ceremony They didn't think anyone would notice.

You are right PD - The Battle Rages On was a painful slow death. Ahh, but we were saved by the resurrection of Mach VIII - long live Morse and Deep Purple!

R.I.P. the greatest rock band of all time, Deep Purple Mk2 - for they were the greatest. I think I have to listen to Helsinki 1993 later today.
However, life goes on. Tomorrow, it will be ROTD.
