David Rosenthal goes prog!

Great news about David - he's a new keyboard player with US prog legends Happy the Man and he's featured on their reunion album "The muse awakens" out on Inside Out. The record is virtuoso sympho prog/fusion show off that most prof fans will surely like and David kicks some serious butt here, in fact his keyboards simply dominate the album. So just when everybody lamented David's role as Enrique Iglesias sideman our Mr.Rosenthal stroke back with vengeance! emoticon

No surprise there. Rosenthall went prog on Rainbow's Bent Out of Shape Album with the two instrumentals and the intro to "Can't Let You Go".

I saw David with Happy the Man in 2000 and they were ridiculously tight. If you have any inkling towards jazzy symphonic rock, check this band out.

As good as The Muse Awakens is, their first two albums with Kit Watkins are even better.

And the smokin synth solos on Fire Dance from BOOS and Death Alley Driver from StraightBTEyes could also be considered prog.
