Slide It In
Is there a way to tell the two versions of this album apart? Is the original version still available? I wish to order this one, but would want the English edition if possible.

Re: Slide It In
The American (Geffen) version starts with "Slide it In", the English (EMI) one with "Gambler". This should be the easiest way to check the version, when the online shop uses the right tracklist (Amazon UK does not, but the record company should help)...

Re: Slide It In
Two versions and two line-ups.
Geffen version has John Sykes in guitar replacing Moody and Neil Murray replacing ´Bomber´ Hodginson in bass.

Unfortunately most online shops don't mention the different line-ups...

Re: Slide It In
It might be worth checking out Cheap or What (COW)
https://secure.wsa.u-net.com/www.cow.co.uk/scripts/blue.cgi
It's a very simple online store, no artwork or track-listings, but they work by catalogue numbers. So the trick here is to find someone who can tell you the cat. no. you're after (sorry, I can't tell you 'cos I don't have this album on CD ) and they should get it for you (I've used before, they're fine).
Interestingly, I've never heard the 'American' version, so if I ever get around to investing, I think Play.com has that edition...

Re: Slide It In
It should be the CD with this number there:
PMD-CDP7903062 CD
At least it matches the number on one of my "Slide It In" albums with the English version...

Re: Slide It In
Does anyone have the number for the US version? I'd really like to hear Sykes on Slide it In. But it's not easy to work out which version is for sale as they don't bother to tell you!

Re: Slide It In
I've never heard the American version, either. Is it different enough to be worth buying or it is for completists and Sykes fans only?
