New Purple Line-up
There seems to be a growing call for a line-up change in the
purple fans camp, so lets go for a new angle on this one.
Steve and Don throw the rest of the band out and bring in
their friends from Living Loud to fill in.
After all Gillan can't sing anymore, Glover never contributed
anything of any consequence, and Paicey is just a pedestrianised
image of his former self isn't he?. All seem to have been
name-called recently, so let's do the job properly in one
foul swoop, that way Paicey can go and join in Jon's projects,
Gillan can carry on with his solo work and Glover can continue
to mess around with 80's style pop tunes. Will everybody be happy then?.
All my interpretations of comments made on this forum recently,
and in magazine articles, i know,
but there will be a lot of sorry people around here if
it did happen.
Let's just be gratefull that we may get another album
this year/next year after all it may just be the last we get

c) Silly thread.
a) Not crap, in my non-humble opinion, just Tamadam's interpretations of various peoples' claims, opinions, etc., etc.
Maybe a little bit better 'form' in the post would(ve) make that a bit clearer for a lot of people.
b) Maybe it was this:
"Will everybody be happy then?. All my interpretations of comments made on this forum recently, and in magazine articles, i know, but there will be a lot of sorry people around here if it did happen." - Tamadam
c) Possibly. But it wouldn't be the first silly thread we've had here. Probably not the last, either.

Re: New Purple Line-up
An interesting one tamadam2.
It's of course very radical BUT you all have to admit that this paragraph (below) is really honest and true:
quote: that way Paicey can go and join in Jon's projects,
Gillan can carry on with his solo work and Glover can continue
to mess around with 80's style pop tunes. Will everybody be happy then?
Everyone of them would be really happy. They stick together because they are aware they can sell concerts only under the name of DP. They are able to sell some of their solo stuff but it would be hard for them to organise a career of their own from the financial point of view, hence Lord's troubles with organising any UK shows.

If this were true, I could go to a gig and hear some of my fav tunes from IGB or G;
But as it is just a pathetic point of view,
I can go to a gig and hear my fav DP tunes instead.
With this line-up, I prefer the latter as (so it would seem) does Ian Gillan and the rest of DEEP PURPLE.
