I think we did that in the forum already and got it in even less than 20...

The new trailer for the nre version of The Stepford Wives with Nicole Kidman has Bette Midler in a Perfect Strangers T-Shirt.

I think someone mentioned that recently.

I mentioned this elsewhere but since it fits this topic I will bring it up again. In the TV show Quantum Leap there is an episode taking place in 1972 and you see a shot with a Deep purple poster on the Bar room wall. Unfortunately they used the 84 reunion poster.

Stephen Dorff was playing air guitar in S.F.W. I think the song was Stargazer

There is an Aviation themed movie that has KAYBD in it.(I forget the title)

The truly awful "Biggles", a great tragedy for fans of the books emoticon

"If you can fly a Sopwith Camel you can fly anything," says Biggles after time-warping 70 years into the future and climbing into a helicopter for the first time. So bad emoticon

It's only redeeming feature was KAYBD (just the intro, lasting about 30 seconds). Jon Anderson was also on the soundtrack but not with a very memorable song. Motley Crue, too, if you like that sort of thing.

Well David,when I saw that movie,the TV was just on,I wasn't watching it,someone else was,in fact I wasn't at home.
The only part I really saw was when KAYBD was playing,I did a double take of course, this was many years ago.
Most movies that have Purple playing in them that I've seen, don't last much more than 30 seconds, the only one I can remember lasting very long is "Made In America" in that movie,SOTW MIJ version is playing on the radio for a good few minutes.

I'm sure that someone has previously mentioned in another thread the playing of "Child In Time" as background in one one of Bud Greenspan's Olympic documentaries - the one chronicling the '72 Munich Massacre, I think.

Yeah, called "One Day In September" or something like that, I saw it on UKTV Documentaries not too long ago but the exact title escapes me.

There's a movie called The Stoned Age about adolescents in the 70's. A terrible flick. But there's a scene where two girls are talking about the guys they pick up and one says to the other "Don't you think he looks like Ritchie Blackmore?"
