Re: New DVD and CD Release, Who's Buying ?

Sorry I forgot Village On The Sand which was the one (half)electric song during the regular set, except those three it´s accoustic and only Blackmore´s Night tunes(except a horribly butchered Soldier Of Fortune).

Thanks for the info, think I'll pass then, there more than enough other releases this autumn worth of my money and/or attention...

Okay, forgot All For One.(so it´s four electric songs)emoticon I don´t know, if I get this(it won´t come out this autmn anyway) but I guess I will since I´ve been there and probably am on the recording.emoticon

But Beyond The Notes and Soulfully Live...are far higher on my priority list.

Apparently the BOnus DVD preview gogin out with Beyodn the SUnset features :-
1) Written in the Stars( bet it's jsut the into bit.
2) Morning Star
3)Play Minstrel Play
4) Minstral Hall
5) Under a Violet Moon.

SO there's nothing electric there at all unless maybe you count the synth intro. Perhaps the main DVD release will feature more electric work, but actually I'd doubt it I think they;ll limit that as much as possible. I still suspect, because the DVD has taken so long that it may be some kind of overdubbed affair, but soon we'll know.

From the poll so far it doesn't look liek too many here have it on the buy lsit as yet.

I don´t know from the tracklist the DVD could also have been filmed between 2000-2002.

Also it seems that there comes a third CD with the release:

http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002F1CQ4/qid=1095113869/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_11_1/302-9516028-9108011

1.Emanuel
2.We three kings
3.Christmas Eve

(BTW: one of the reviewers says there is a BN style version of Smoke On The Water on it. Maybe a short snippet somewhere).

As for the main DVD release, if it only consists of the Veldenstein gig I´ve been at there will the the four electric tracks Village On The Sand, All For One, Loreley and Black Night. But maybe they cut it, I don´t think that Blackmore wants to have BN on an official release.

...then it'll blow big time.

The notion of getting the CD became unthinkable after hearing Once In A Million years and I'll only get the DVD pending reviews and a price drop.

Yup, I was told that this was the worst gig of the tour(in contrary to my immense luck last year) by people who´ve seen all gigs of the german tour.

Dare it! Do you think you can turn that into a last minute Don Airey gig or what(as was the case in 2001, yes I can have bad concert luck without you)? emoticon
But for now, I´d be lucky if I´ll make it anyway...

Well I hope you do get there anyway and I hope it's great if you do.

If I'd known how easy it was to get to Munich then I probably would have been able to fly in, go to the concert and get a night train back to the airport on the S-Bahn for an early morning flight back without needing to stay over and probably working out cheaper than going to a concert in somewhere like Birmingham on the train but it's too late to get a good price on flights for October now. I am actually considering doing something like that for Ian Anderson w/ orchestra in Paris, a return Eurostar ticket is less than £60 but the ticket prices are putting me off, 66€ for restricted view and "binoculars strongly recommended" seats and 77€ for ones on the floor or the mezanine. emoticon

And I've just realised that this is going off-topic so I'll have to say I'm not getting the CD again and the DVD will probably be crap. emoticon
