RIP Eddie Van Halen

Another legend has left us! A brilliant player who not only reinvented guitar playing but was a song guy as well. He will be missed.

Devastating news. The 80s would not have happened without him. Without a doubt, the most influential guitarist of all time.

No doubt!! A great player and songwriter for sure. Feel like my youth just left the building now. I wasn't surprised of his passing as he has been ill for a very longtime. Not the biggest VH fan but I do have some of their albums and what I have I really like

debut - killer. so many great riffs
1984
5150
OU812 - some great songs here but probably my least favorite of what I have
For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

Great keyboard player too. Love that solo on Jump.

Rough week for VH

Last week original bassist Mark Stone died too. Him and Eddie remained good friends from all accounts.

RIP EVH

In the early 80s I bought the debut vinyl, I was blown away by EVH guitar style, then I saved money and bought Van Halen 2, WACF, Diver Down and 1984 in the mid 80s, I never got to acquire "Fair Warning". Very good albums.
