WHOOSH! review
Ok listened to this 5 times throughout the day now here are my thoughts and ratings track by track
1.Throw My Bones - Good solid and catchy track to start with - 7
2.Drop The Weapon - Dull with that same old SM solo - 4
3.Were All The Same In The Dark - another mid tempo plodder but kinda catchy chorus - 5
4.Nothing At All - Like this one cheery wee track well delivered nice work from both SM and DA - 7
5.No Need To Shout - Very familiar MK Morse shuffle same old SM guitar runs you all know them - 4
6.Step By Step - Strange little track kinda Vincent Price like - 5
7.What The What - kinda bar room boogie ala early Whitesnake nice piano from DA and another SM solo you know the kind - 5
8.The Long Way Round - bit more up tempo almost Maiden like gallop at the start ! dont care for Dons solo that sound doesnt belong in DP and of course the old familiar DA guitar runs but i like this track - 7
9.The Power Of The Moon - nothing comes to mind with this one not unpleasant just blandness really - 5
10.Remission Possible - instrumental workout that serves as an intro to Man Alive - 5
11. Man Alive - Best track on the album very atmospheric - 8
12. And The Address - kinda pointless but good rehash of the MK1 track ,misses the personality of Jon and Ritchie though - 6
13.Dancing In My Sleep - More Blandness - 5
overall ranking for the album - 6
which is more than i gave it on first listen so its grown on me a bit,Its definitely a big drop from the previous 2 albums though.Pleasant well played and sung but uninspiring is how i would describe it ie kinda dull and disappointing>Just get the feeling that you've heard it all before from the band only they did it better previously.

Listened to it a few times as well - nothing great and nothing poor. One track that doesn't do anything for me is Drop the Weapon.
I like the rehash of And the Address even if it is pointless but its done very well. I like Throw my bones, man alive, remission possible, dancing in my sleep, long way round
No need to shout, were all the same in dark are ok.
others I may need to listen a few times. Though many seem to like Nothing at all, I am not a huge fan of it...SM/DA do great on it though.

Dont care much for so called professional reviews they tend to be slanted one way or the other ,I would rather hear fan reviews, so let's hear yours ptr 👍

This is good review!
Indeed. The writer obviously knows what he's writing about.
Really ? with statements like
"Steve Morse’s guitar has shadows of Blackmore"
"Steve Morse carries off a guitar extravaganza reminiscent of Ritchie Blackmore"
What The What’ is almost a throwback to the rock ‘n’ roll that became a trademark of Gillan in the early Eighties"
The Power Of The Moon’ is a perfect follow up and reminiscent of Rainbow circa 1976"
