Bohemian Rhapsody-The movie.

Has anyone seen the movie Bohemian Rhapsody?
Just curious to know your opinions if you have.

I've seen it, and while there were tons of mistakes (wrong facts and timeline, songs in wrong places,...), I really enjoyed it for its entertaining purpose. I also thought the actors were great, and some scenes really gave me goosebumps (the Live Aid concert part, some of the beginning parts).

All in all, and despite the errors and potentially the overall sugar-coated/ hollywood treatment, I thought it was a great movie.

Of course, the pleasure of hearing Queen's music through a Dolby surround system helped!

I saw it yesterday and my thoughts are similar to yours.

Yes, there were a lot of "mistakes" or events taken out of context/time, but did it spoil my enjoyment? Not at all. Absolutely loved it. The casting was superb - in particular Mercury, May and Deacon (visually). And the final Live Aid performance was just outstanding and incredibly accurate.

I'd happily go and see it again.

I don't understand why they didn't include the story of the band's first management deal though ("Death On Two Legs"). Surely that would have been worthy of inclusion?

Just based on the previews I saw, I expected time line errors for the sake of dramatic license and of course I wasn't wrong...

...that said,I absolutely loved it. I thought the movie was perfectly cast. Rami was amazing as Freddie, the gentleman who played Brian nailed it as well, right down to the voice and body language. The gentlemen who played John and Roger were also really good.

They nailed the Live Aid sequence to the point where I actually got a lump in my throat and goosebumps on my arms. I plan to see it again at least once more before it leaves the theaters and of course will be buying it when it comes out on Blu-ray.

Another bonus?

Sales from the soundtrack put Queen (well deservedly) back to #1 again, even in the States which is no small feat considering all the crap they have to compete against.

Well deserved! Queen are such an amazing band. The soundtrack album is great too, cool to have an audio version of the Live Aid (even if incomplete) and some great reworking on Doing All right and Don't Stop me Now.

I went to see the movie again today and found it less "patchy" than the first time, and of course, less bothered by the "errors", since I knew they were coming.

Hopefully the bluray will contain the deleted scenes. The Live Aid was shot in its entirety (maybe not the "Is this the world...").

Yeah, including the entire Live Aid set in bonus features would be amazing!
