Weren't In Rock and Fireball on the EMI subsidiary Harvest? If so, that explains it. All the rest were on Purple records.

Yes, must be the reason.

Re: Re:

I still have my DP albums. Why bother getting these? Maybe they should release all the MIE shows in a box set instead.

This has been planned since 20 years or so. There must be something which prevents it. Contract issue perhaps. Or the fact that it isn't the classic Mk II lineup.

I'd love to hear these three shows in full.

Re: Vinyl re-releases

There will always be reissues of the classic 1970s albums. Universal released THE VINYL COLLECTION a few years ago. The only thing that interest me about this reissue is the vinyl in "purple color", it's nice to look at. I have CDs and vinyl LPs of these, nothing new except the color which might persuade me to buy if my budget will allow it.

I want "Abandon" and "Bananas" on vinyl, these are the ones missing in my collection not another "Machine Head" or another "Burn".

"The House of Blue Light" on double vinyl album with it's longer CD version playing time.

Instead of "Last Concert in Japan", I want the following vinyl reissues.
"Live in London (1982)"
"Deep Purple in Concert (1980)"
"Nobody's Perfect (1988)"
"Singles A's & B's"
"Come Hell or High Water (1993)" the one that Ian Gillan loved. emoticon

Let me say it again...... I want "Bananas" and "Abandon" vinyl reissues please!!! 🍌🍌🍌

Re: Vinyl re-releases

If I remember correctly, just correct me if I'm wrong, I think Parlophone and Harvest is under Warner Music Group.

I think this is the setup, but correct me if I'm wrong.

1968-71 Warner Music Group
1972-8? Universal Music Group (MH to HOBL)
1990-9? Sony Music Group (S&M to Purpendicular)
Bananas (EMI and Sanctuary)
ROTD, NW & Infinite (earMusic)

No way they gonna release a decent Box Set, because of this, unless they gonna have their own label.

Metallica reissues are all on their own label Blackened Records, I think.
Pink Floyd most reissues are in Pink Floyd records.

It would be nice to get the MKMorse stuff on LP. The only reason that I will consider any of these releases is because my original vinyl collection was destroyed. I, like most on this site, have these already on CD. I'm not sure that I want to shell out the extra dough to get these at this time. A decent used record store would probably have all the MKII stuff on vinyl, and probably in tip-top shape.

In the U.S., Shades, Taliesyn, s/t were released on Tetragrammaton with Concerto very briefly issued on the same before the label collapsed. Concerto was then issued on Warner Bros (who were the parent company to Tetragrammaton) as were all of the following albums up to Last Concert In Japan.

For the reunion, Perfect Strangers, HoBL and NP were issued on Mercury/Polygram in the States.

Slaves and Masters was on RCA/BMG in the States.

TBRO was issued on Giant/Warner Bros. in the States. CHoHW wasn't issued here until years later and then it was on BMG.

Purpendicular was RCA/BMG here.

Abandon was CMC International/BMG.

Bananas was Sanctuary.

Rapture/NW/Infinite are Eagle/Ear.

I might get a few for the collection, but only as a collector piece.
