Re: Don Airey "One of a kind"
Listening to the full album in these days. It's less varied than previous offers, more classic hard rock all the way, with some slower moments along the way. Overall harder than usual, I'm liking it. I find Carl Sentance vocals to be the weak point: not that he's not good but a bit samey.

Re: Don Airey "One of a kind"
I’m liking what I’ve heard so far, one very Gary like instrumental, ‘don’t forget to call’ I think. The live tracks are a lot of fun. CS works well for me, can’t quite place who he reminds me of, Mark Boals possibly…..Bonnet maybe.

Yes a bit like Bonnet, true. Live they sound great.

Re: Don Airey "One of a kind"
I'd love to see, but they never play in the UK

Re: Don Airey "One of a kind"
Great album. Hints from Purple, Rainbow, Gary Moore and even Tull.
Sounds like a real band rather than a solo project.

Re: Don Airey "One of a kind"
McBride very bonnamassa like from what I’m hearing, I couldn’t quite place who Carl Sentence reminds me of, was thinking Fish, Boals, Ozzy maybe……but it struck me it’s actually Bon Scott he’s got a strong hint of.
Love his singing on Surrender, I have to say he does it much better than RR.

I have to say Bon Scott was the first name that came to my mind when I first heard Sentence.

Re: Don Airey "One of a kind"
First listen today, vocals - a bit of rap vs Ozzy with a hint of Gillan from the Japanese album

They do.
I saw them a few years ago at the Cambridge rock festival.
Also I know since then they have played a benefit show for the Cambridge rock festival in Newmarket.
I listened for the first time to the album. Was quite impressed.
