Ian Gillan Live cd source

Hi. I have the Arena Records "unofficial" Ian Gillan Live 2 disc compilation catalog number Best Nr. 2114-203, with a cartoon drawing of Ian holding a mic stand on the cover, and I know the first disc is from the 79/80 BBC stuff that was already released, but the second disc is bothering me. I KNOW I have seen/heard this setlist on another live Ian Gillan [sign in to see URL] just don't remember which one it is!!!

1. Clear Air Turbulance
2. Smoke On The Water
3. Future Shock
4. Money Lender
5. Purple Sky
6. Unchain Your Brain
7. Woman From Tokyo
8. Take A Hold Of Yourself
9. Twin Exhausted
10. Child In Time
11. Roller
12. On The Rocks

It is also the same tracklist for the single disc "unofficial" release of the same title - Ian Gillan Live - on World Wide Music catalog WWM 913, with an orange picture of a North American desert scene in a square frame on the cover.

Does anyone out there know what this tracklist / setlist is from? I am literally going crazy trying to wrap my head around this!! Thanx in advance.

Re: Ian Gillan Live cd source

Its made up of two different setlists from two different bands.

Tracks 1, 4, 7, 9 & 10 could've been taken from either Live At Budokan or Live At The Rainbow from the Ian Gillan Band.

SotW is anybody's guess without hearing it...

Same with the rest of the tracks, without hearing them for myself they could either have Bernie or Janick on guitar.

Re:

To the best of my knowledge Future Shock wasn't done live

Purple Sky & Take A Hold Of Yourself were b-sides so doubt these were done live either.

Sounds like a very dodgy release.
