These five are not all bad really, just not as good as the rest of dP openers.

Mk2 and 3 album openers are among the best by any band actually. Mk Morse not very good at opening albums!

I was unsure whether to include King of Pain. I like the song but whenever I hear it there is literally nothing I can hear to remind me that I am listening to Deep Purple so I have left it out.

It seems that the top five can be a tough pick here, with about eight or nine that can be interchanged. I think that 'Stormbringer', 'Bad Attitude' and 'Woman From Tokyo' are worthy of a top five pick. 'Ted The Mechanic' is pretty good, also. These go along with 'Highway Star'. 'Fireball', 'Speed King' and maybe 'Burn'.
I won't mess with the bottom five. To paraphrase the Beverly Hillbillies theme, there is a heapin' helpin' of hopelessly inadequate tunes to choose from. A lot are good tunes, but not very good openers.

It's too bad MKIV didn't use "Comin Home" as the concert opener and saved "Burn" for the encore.
