I thought Steve was struggling with some of his solo's, certainly on Birds of Prey he couldn't find the "feel" for the want of a better word.
I am going to Birmingham tonight so at least they had a run out last night to warm up.

I thought you may have meant with his hand issues, with regard 'feel'....for me he lacks that most of the time. there are exceptions.

all in all, given live on national TV/Radio, was a strong showing! paice seemed on form, think the Fireball intro missed out, perhaps he can't do that anymore?

I´m listening to full show now and big highlight is whole segment starting with Uncommon Man and ending with Perfect Strangers. Birds Of Prey (GREAT Steve´s guitar solo!) was just amazing, the same for The Surprising - probably the absolute top song of whole set.

Yes, I meant struggling with his hand problems. He almost always sounds very good, but he seemed to be struggling with his feel during the solos.

I watched it on the BBC red button. The picture was good but the sound was a bit flat, unusually for a BBC recording.
I thought that IP was the star of the show.

It was bizarre watching DP live on UK TV the day before we are travelling to see them.

100% agree the new songs( !? and I) were the highlight of the show. The Surprising was very surprising(excuse the pun), never warmed to this track previously but it was great last night.

Just tried watching on the red button. Made no sense first time round it being cut at perfect strangers then going back to the start ( much to the disappointment of a 10 year old waiting for smoke!). Then the whole thing played through. Then just as I was about to turn off it started back again at birds of prey!
For various reasons I missed it last night but it doesn't even link in with the timings.
Totally bizarre!

I thought the gig was pretty reasonable. I liked the set list and Glover, Paice & Airey did very well. I thought IG & Morse were the weaker band members, especially on my favourite Infinity track, All I Got Is You.

Watched again this on bluray last night. Nice set and I agree with ptr, The surprising is the absolute highlight of this performance.
