Anyone know any more? He said this several times in interviews and, according to him, he was approached in 1994. I never found evidence of this from the Purple camp, though. He's not always the most lucid guy but Roger, at least, is a fan for sure. I don't think he was ever really considered.nondisclosed_email@example.com (fdr)Tue, 14 Nov 2017 11:08:11 +0000 Re: MSG Back cataloguehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513456,from=rss#post513456https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513456,from=rss#post513456quote:Randys wrote: I'm still dreamin'............. Basically, I just love the sound of him playing. I don't think they have particulary strong songs. nondisclosed_email@example.com (fdr)Mon, 13 Nov 2017 14:51:51 +0000 Re: MSG Back cataloguehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513448,from=rss#post513448https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513448,from=rss#post513448walk on water is one of the best LPs in his career for me, but as an MSG thread I wondered what folk made of written in the sand and midst of beauty, both of which appears to get good write upsnondisclosed_email@example.com (Desperateheart)Mon, 13 Nov 2017 12:25:43 +0000 Re: MSG Back cataloguehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513395,from=rss#post513395https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513395,from=rss#post513395I'm still dreamin'............. The are a few gems to be found, though, like the song Save yourself which to me is an absolute highlight. A true classic is also Walk on water, back in Ufo in 1995. More recently, I particulary enjoyed Bridge the gap, with Temple of rock.nondisclosed_email@example.com (fdr)Tue, 07 Nov 2017 23:45:38 +0000 Re: MSG Back cataloguehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513390,from=rss#post513390https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513390,from=rss#post513390Really liked the first three (including Budokan as the third) and like the fourth but from Built to Destroy onward, things get a little dodgy up until the Doogie albums. One thing is for sure though, Michael is currently playing better than he has since Budokan, maybe even since UFO.nondisclosed_email@example.com (RatBatBlu)Tue, 07 Nov 2017 21:15:16 +0000 MSG Back cataloguehttps://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513387,from=rss#post513387https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p513387,from=rss#post513387the first 3 lps are pretty well known and liked, from Built to destroy on quality dropped most would agree. I quite like BTD, downloaded this and Perfect timing for scrutiny, listened to latter which was pretty forgettable, aside from Love is not a game, Time and Gimmme your love. any opinions? nondisclosed_email@example.com (Desperateheart)Tue, 07 Nov 2017 12:21:46 +0000
