I'm tempted to score this show since my woman lives in Moscow. Strange, the notion about long haul flights also doesn't really make sense if they play Russia of all places! Wonder what really went down, maybe Mr. Udo was negotiating too hard? ??? If they include the western part of Russia as part of a European tour then no long haul flights involved. Berlin to Moscow (for example) is about two and a half hours. Stockholm - Moscow is 1.50 hour. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Concrete god)Fri, 29 Sep 2017 15:21:24 +0000 Re: Info about next years Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow tour dates 2018https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512945,from=rss#post512945https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512945,from=rss#post512945What about the US ? I thought there was talk from his camp about doing shows in the states next year. And as for the UK and Germany why there again ? I know he loves Germany but how about Finland and Sweden ? lots of fans there. I hope there are shows in new places next year nondisclosed_email@example.com (lynxwizard1)Fri, 29 Sep 2017 12:55:12 +0000 Re: Info about next years Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow tour dates 2018https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512944,from=rss#post512944https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512944,from=rss#post512944Not sure about Japan, but this seems to have been planned considering Japan. They thought about going there in March/April, and Moscow is in-between the US and Japan. So perhaps they thought about going there in different legs, and then perhaps Japan did not happen in the end.nondisclosed_email@example.com (mtb7)Fri, 29 Sep 2017 10:57:58 +0000 Re: Info about next years Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow tour dates 2018https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512943,from=rss#post512943https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512943,from=rss#post512943On another Purple related message board it says that show is rumoured to take place on 08 April 2017 at the Olympisky Stadium in Moscow.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Stefan72)Fri, 29 Sep 2017 10:51:36 +0000 Re: Re:https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512941,from=rss#post512941https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512941,from=rss#post512941quote:Gatts888 wrote: quote:Big J wrote: quote:Gatts888 wrote: So Russia, but not Japan as seemed to have been confirmed earlier. Ritchie lives in the US though. He would only do this if he'd tour in Germany at around that time, but that doesn't seem to be the case as he doesn't want to do stretched out tours and more selective dates here and there. NY-Moscow, or NY-Tokyo wouldn't be that much different in that regard. The initial post specifically mentioned Germany and the UK. I'm not suggesting he'd travel direct from US to Russia, but it could be part of a short European tour with not much extra travel involved.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Big J)Fri, 29 Sep 2017 10:13:33 +0000 Re: Re:https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512938,from=rss#post512938https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p512938,from=rss#post512938quote:Big J wrote: quote:Gatts888 wrote: So Russia, but not Japan as seemed to have been confirmed earlier.
