Saw this on Wikipedia:

No. 1 is interesting. Otherwise it's obvious that this list is made from US Americans for US Americans. Very few songs from elsewhere.

Wow! No Beatles or Zeppelin songs!! Good!! They are overplayed on the radio where I live!!!

There are Beatles songs in the list. Some non-US artists are too important to be excluded from things like that even if it's from Americans for Americans.
