In an interview recall RB talking about a relationship with a ‘gypsy girl’ 74/75 period and saying it was a romance he took years to get over.
Perhaps a reason he moved to the east coast, and could explain the lyrics in Lost in Hollywood for instance.

Anyway, fascinating to read they were considering forming a duo playing renaissance music back then. She's also featured in Bloom's biography.

yes they were, but they seemed to relate to what RB mentioned about his experiences there 75-78....so possibly some connection.
indeed, shows the interest had been there for some time, which of course you can hear in the first Rainbow LP.
Cozy apparently recalled RB getting them to play the theme for for example Renaissance fayre in rehearsals.
