DIO RETURNS WORLD TOUR
Seemingly DIO RETURNS WORLD TOUR is set to kick off with 80 dates across of the globe!
Can you f'cking believe it.......
They are using a HOLOGRAM of DIO to perform most of the songs. Ridiculous stuff......
Craig Goldy and all the old chums from DIO are part of it......
I bet they will say "its for the fans" or perhaps "It's all about the music"......
If I had any respect for Craig Goldy, and it wasn't much, now I think he's just a complete low-life. Performing with a hologram has to take this to the next level of banality and plumbs the depths of how far can they go to get their paws on the $$$$$ they must be so desperate for. Presumably Wendy Dio needs a top up for her pension pot like the rest of them. Using DIO as a hologram is an insult to a legend who was in life a great performer but to bring him back this way..... it's just wrong on so many levels.
Technically this is all very clever I'm sure, but it's also pretty sad, desperate and sick in an other way. This urely reflects how there just aren't the performers around anymore to take over from the truly great stars who are now dead.
I blame those two c*nts in parkas from Oasis, that sh1thead Jonny Marr and f*cking U2 and many other severely untalented sh1tbags who gained public attention, for spawning a generation of barely capable players and poor performers who are what's coming through the music world now. There are no real stars anymore, just over processed wannabe's who ain't special in any way at all.
Anyway Blackmore fans...... worry not...... when Blackmore departs......... he'll be back again as a hologram. He believes in re-incarnation........... so his wish may come true........ he will live again.
What a pile of utter sh1te the music business has become.

Sadly this may well catch on as potentially it's another way to get $$$$$ out of fans. They did some tests at a festival last year Wacken I think, it looked dire, but still mixed with a live band, might appeal to some.
Wendy Dio is behind it, clearly just wants to make more money out of RJD and his legacy.
It's beyond disgusting, but look forward to seeing more of it in the future. Seemingly it's being done with Michael Jackson, doubtless with Elvis and probably many many others!

Wouldn't travel for it,though.
I'm curious to see it in person. A video of a hologram probably doesn't give the right idea.
I get why people hate this. On the other hand, if it lives up to the hype, I'm sure it's a good night of music.

It´s going to be slightly OT but not really. There is "Elvis" In Concert tour in Europe planned for next May. EP´s voice from tape, singing from video screen, his music performed with orchestra - years ago they used to perform with his original superb TCB band from 70s, they are not performing anymore sadly, so they were "replaced" by orchestra. I was stunned to see ticket prices for Prague "concert" - range of ticket prices are nearly THE SAME as ticket prices for REAL concert of REAL Paul McCartney from June 16. Something is definately wrong!
