Doesn't this just illustrate yet again how little regard Blackmore actually has for his fan base. Doing this, same track, different singers, surely show how little he really cares about it. He knows his fan-boys would accept and buy the steam of his sh1te, so that's exactly what he now gives them!

Your logic is faulty. If he gives his fan-boys what they want to buy, then surely that shows he has a great regard for them?

I mean, he may have little regard for you, BSB, but you're obviously not one of his fan-boys (as I deduce from your own argument of what fan-boys are like).

Like I said Daivd, Blackmore sh1ts golden nuggets, and fans, just like yourself, are happy to buy them, so that's absolutely fine by me. If you think Blackmore gives a rats f*ck for his fans that's your choice, a lifetime of evidence would suggest otherwise, but hey ho, there you go!

Apparently you need to relax and have a life too.

I think BSB has a valid point. Using the same backing track for BN and "Rainbow" is grounds for retirement. It's a joke and just goes to show how much his standards have fallen. Time to call a spade a spade.

The drum machine on the new version of Writing on the Wall. Worse than what buskers are using as back-up. Sad.

NEWSFLASH----

Ritchie Blackmore is 72 years old and has NOTHING new left to say musically.
if truth be told he's had nothing left to say musically for years!!!

The fact that he's releasing bloody awful tracks like the recent 2 only goes to show how little he has to offer these days.
Is it a piss take?? No i don't think so? its just a reflection of whats just been said i.e. he has nothing left to offer.
Now whether people buy it is entirely up to them, nobody is forcing them.i most certainly won't buy [sign in to see URL] people will because they are completists ,some may even like it ????
He can though still play the guitar with a unique style and feel that nobody else posseses.

He has a style of his own for sure but it's a lot more limited these days. Age doesn't necessarily slow guitarists down, by the way.

Interestingly, you're more forgiving towards RB's and DC's current abilities than other members of DP for some reason.

He has lost the power to play songs like Long Live Rock'n'Roll properly, but he still plays things like Soldier Of Fortune or Catch The Rainbow with much taste and feeling. No wonder after 20 years of Blackmore's Night.

Not at all mate I've been completely honest about the remaining abilities of DC and RB just as much as Gillan and [sign in to see URL] wonders if you've ever read my posts to come out with that comment??

Age certainly does slow down guitarists, the same as it slows down all musicians.

As a guitarist though I feel it's some of the easier bits he gets wrong. His fingers still play some lovely runs and tasteful lead parts, but seems very stuff when playing burn or spotlight riff for instance which aren't hard riffs. Can't pull off the spotlight riff fluidly then can play the tasty little lick during the solos for example.
