Re:
I'd purchase a "Made in Japan" of the 80's-90's.
Good choices folks.

Wonderful thread Viciious - right up the Compilation Fairy's strasse!
I did a post some years ago where I created an enormous playlist of, IMHO, the best versions of live tracks (any Mark), in chronological order of each album so I'll use that as a basis. This list weighted inputs such as fidelity, the line up being authentic and contemporaneous. So a MK2 live WFT would in theory rank higher than a MKMorse WFT and a MK2b Knockin' would rank higher than a MK2c Knockin' and official or soundboard would be more favoured than a dodgy bootleg.
Then of course, you are tossing in covers, DTC & one MKIIa original and the >90 minute constraint as well as the running order. You little beauty, you!
So, given that this is all about showcasing the best MK2reunion tracks (or even the most interesting/rare?), the best MK2 reunion live versions (or can we be creative and throw in later MK versions of Mk2 reunion?) and the best sound quality, I give you an album that I would buy:
Side 1
Perfect Strangers (Live in Stuttgart 16/10/93) 6:57
Dead or Alive (Nobody's Perfect 04/09/87) 7:06
Bad Attitude (Nobody's Perfect 30/05/87) 5:31
Hard Lovin' Woman (Nobody's Perfect 30/05/87) 5:01
Side 2
Knockin' (They'll be The Masters 22/02/91) 10:01
The Battle Rages On (Live in Stuttgart 16/10/93) 6:38
Under The Gun (Perfect Strangers Live Australia 84) 5:58
Side 3
Anya (Live in Stuttgart16/10/93) 12:15
Anyone's Daughter (In Your Trousers 13/11/93) 4:39
Ramshackle Man (The Battle 03/12/93) 5:17
Side 4
A Twist In The Tail (Birmingham 09/11/93) 4:37
The Unwritten Law (Hungary Days 26-28/01/87) 6:30
The Mule (Live in Stuttgart 16/10/93) 2:20
Difficult To Cure (Perfect Strangers Live Australia 84) 4:30
ENCORE: Speed King (Live In Stuttgart 16/10/93) 7:25
Cheats - One MK5 and one MK6 rendition of MK2 reunion tracks & 2 MK2 tracks (one encore though!)
Didn't make the cut - Gypsy's Kiss, Nobody's Home, Call Of The Wild, Talk About Love from above albums.
Lake
Yeah, i would buy that.

Re: Compile MKII's "MiJ" of the reunion era
if I had to go for one concert from the 84-88 period I'd nominate Hungry Daze, band on fire. (yeah I know it comes from different nights but still a great representation of how good this era could be!)

Great compilation, thanks!
To keep it totally in accordance with the original idea, I'd swap Anyone's Daughter and Ramshackle Man with Nobody's Home and Paint it Black + use MK2a performance of Knockin' (Australia '84?).

Re: Compile MKII's "MiJ" of the reunion era
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree Vicilious.
I just played the Sydney 84 track which has good Gillan vocals but is somewhat ponderous and RB's work is very sloppy although the audio quality is good.
The "They'll Be The Masters" boot, however, is better than any other version I've heard. If you can get over the Squealy One's vocals, which are not that prevalent, the musicianship from 04:30 until 08:40 is superb. TMIB's guitar is beautiful. There's also a bit of I'm Alone in here and a bit of Buddy Mile's "Changes".
Does anyone know how I could upload my boot track from my i tunes library to the forum?

Re: Compile MKII's "MiJ" of the reunion era
sounds good, will check out. which show is this from?
RB was on fire on the 1991 tour, 'Changes' riff appeared a lot 91-93, I thought it was a Hendrix track? 'I'm alone'....? the DP track?
re KAYBD, there were much better versions on the 84 tour, notably Melbourne 16/12.... long and absolutely unique solo. on the Back in action bootleg though sadly not best quality.
If you click on the file it may provide options to share the link, as is possible in spotify.

"They'll Be The Masters" is from Freiburg, Feb 22nd, probably the best show of the 1991 tour. Instrumental wise it's miles better than many 1980's shows.

Re:
My "Made in Japan" from the late 80's. All culled from soundboard bootlegs (except Hard Lovin Woman) and all better performances than on Nobody's Perfect. Blackers had cleaned up his sound somewhat so he's a f*ck site better than on the 85 tour.
I'd love this officially released with a cleaned up and professionally mastered sound.
