Indeed. And a very humble guy as well, the few times I met him. I think he's also a strong lyricist, sometimes funny, sometimes deeper, with a great feel for rhymings and the musicality of words but their meaning as well. The perfect partner for Bowes.nondisclosed_email@example.com (fdr)Sun, 13 Aug 2017 21:11:53 +0000 Re: YOUR TOP 3 ALBUM'S OF 2017 SO FAR.https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p511817,from=rss#post511817https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p511817,from=rss#post511817Morley is an amazing songwriter and guitarist.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Concrete god)Sun, 13 Aug 2017 18:13:07 +0000 Re: YOUR TOP 3 ALBUM'S OF 2017 SO FAR.https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p511816,from=rss#post511816https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p511816,from=rss#post511816Never heard of Thunder before accidentally listened to Wonder Days. I thought he was considered one of the all-time greats But I know what you mean. I don't know why Thunder never got bigger than they are. Maybe they came along a decade too late? Were they ever popular in America? I don't think they ever were. I read their autobiography a few months ago, they toured the states only once, at the time of "Behind closed doors" in 1992. Can you imagine a worst moment to promote their music over there, with Seattle and grunge happening? Maybe they've always been "too british", in terms of image, lyrics, approach, etc. to appeal to a wider audience. nondisclosed_email@example.com (fdr)Wed, 09 Aug 2017 12:33:16 +0000 Re: Re:https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p511650,from=rss#post511650https://bdeeppurplefanforum.runboard.com/p511650,from=rss#post511650quote:fdr wrote: How Bowes isn't considered one of the all time great singers in rock is one of the mysteries of the world. It's true but I find this to be one of their strenghts. And then the combination of Morley's songwriting and Bowes vocals is just amazing.
