perhaps way too early, but, any filming for a live dvd?

I loved the fact that the NW tour has to live dvds, filmed at different legs of the tour.

Any news, talk, anything at all about filming on this tour?

I didn't attend the shows mentioned, as I caught them in Italy, but I read positive reviews of the french gig. They also played Sgt Pepper before Hush on that date. I hope they'll go for that one. Or both.

Don't tape any of the US tour stuff. Gillan sounds pretty shot. I've heard some of the European tour stuff and it sounds pretty good. Gillan sounds OK. Delete SKOW and you might have a decent show. emoticon

Friends saw Purple in Detroit this past weekend and they said EWB blew the place apart but that they all tried to blow each other off the stage (in a fun way). One friend said Gillan sounded atrocious the whole set, another friend said he started ok then got bad after the fourth song but that musically the band were on fire. They both agreed that overall Gillan was the weak link though.

to stay on topic;

if this is indeed the last tour, will they go for one or two gigs early on the tour (i.e. Amsterdam / Paris), or will they film something which, on paper at least, is a more momentous occasion? For instance;

* one of the last / THE last UK gig?
* the very last gig on the tour, whatever that turns out to be?

I'm not an expert and I could be wrong, but I think the actual filming is not really a problem these days, not being very expensive anymore, less so the editing, mastering and manufacturing of the product. I guess they're gonna have plenty of options but they'll leave it to EarMusic and Payne to decide what and when to put it out. The band will probably have very little say, if any, on this.

seems like they film every night for the screens, so in theory they can put out whatever night they want.

however; planned shoots feature more cameras etc to make the film look better.
It needs to be planned ahead
