Time to go

The reaction to the gig in London has been 90-95% positive, whether on Youtube, social media or reviews. The halls are full, and there's a big demand for Rainbow in the whole world asking for dates.

5-10% of the people will never be happy. Some of them have their points, but they're mostly unrealistic or back in the past. They haven't gone with the time. But it's this angerness and roughness that's really frightening for me as a reader. Other comments are just childish like some guy from Czech. It's just stupid fanboy criticism. Grow up and learn to accept other people's opinions. Other people only talk about finances over and over, others are bitching about the sound, other are bitching about the setlist. Ritchie said it best: "At the end of the day you can only listen to yourself". And that's what he does. He doesn't give a f***cking damn about any of you haters. What I wanna say is - the majority loves the shows and if they wouldn't, they wouldn't attend them, because everyone can see the stuff on Youtube. So actually what's the point for anyone to care about those 10% of sour grapes, whether it's fans living in the past, being a little bit too nostalgic or just being from a different camp (like Morse Gillan camp). Why should anyone care? You are the minority as you see. And have you realized that thousands of fans are going to the shows and are happy and that just 4-5 people are here being negative about it? That shows that people who are satisfied don't feel like spreading their opinion on social media. But enough of that.

The basic point of my post is. I enjoyed providing you some updates and news here and there and taking part in discussions. But now I think it's time to leave the ship and leave you alone on your playground, so you can continue be bitter, desperate and put everything down until you're satisfied. But it looks like you never will be. So this place will be a very sad place I guess in the future. It already is. That's too juvenile and boring for me. Some people will never learn... or be happy... in their lifes. I luckily am, so have a nice time guys. Bye.

PS: I just leave because I thought a post number of 567 looks quite nice. Don't wanna destroy that. And don't even feel like replying to this. I'm not gonna answer.

Why do you care so much about negative opinions? Just be happy you enjoyed it! I have my criticisms, but I still enjoyed what I heard/saw so far!

I think that I explained why I´m dissatisfied with this "Rainbow" - it´s simply completely wasted opportunity. It could have been big rock event, it´s not - it´s Blackmore´s Night playing rock with "ok" guesting rock singer (it´s meant as description of Candice as backing vocals and rhytm section (key part for any rock band) from BN). It´s probably that Ritchie wanted it exactly like that but I simply have my opinion about and I´ll share it here on forum.

Some performances are better (Spotlight Kid from London is miles better than gigs from last year), some were better and are very good (Soldier Of Fortune is very fine, despite that Romero vocal exhibition at the end simply do not fit to that song), but overall it really could have been MUCH MUCH better.

Prefering this Blackmore´s Night playing rock with ok guesting vocalist over to current Purple - you may prefer whatever you want, it´s up to you... but it´s my right to think that it´s just hillarious. Sometimes I feel like it shows there is difference between being Purple fan and between mainly Blackmore fan. I have to say that I really hoped that Ritchie´s brief comeback to rock music will be big breakthroug, comeback of one of greatest rock guitar players ever and sadly it´s not because he is NOT rock guitar player anymore. That´s my position.

And that’s fine, we don’t all have to agree as I keep saying!
I get it that some folk are disappointed, that’s how they feel. No problem.

Wouldn't the world be a boring place if we all thought the same thing? I think it's really healthy that we all have opinions because that's all they are at the end of the day. I'm not a Blackmore 'HATER' and I don't belong to another 'camp', but personally I find his playing a little uninspired at this show and at last year's gigs. His playing has (in my opinion) deteriorated to the point where I don't find it interesting any longer. Therefore, I have chosen not to spend my hard earned cash going to see Ritchie on this tour. That doesn't mean there aren't others who will find Ritchie's playing to be good and the shows enjoyable. That's the beauty of opinions.

I wouldnt have issue with this lineup making an album with new material - at last it would give legitimacy to them as band. Even those two singles would be acceptable recorded by BAND.... but even (really what a high standard requirement to record song as band with band moniker) that didnt happen. emoticon

HF, you're acting like a complete fan-boy!

"Ritchie said it best: "At the end of the day you can only listen to yourself". And that's what he does. He doesn't give a f***cking damn about any of you haters."

Just so you know and I realise you'll take it very hard, as you're currently utterly besotted by the "Blackmore Myth" the fact is ....

"He doesn't give a f***cking damn about any of you haters."

However ........
"He doesn't give a f***cking damn about any of his fans either."

Waken up and smell the coffee HF, stop being a silly little fan-boy, nobody cares a dam!

Everyone knows you don't have any "inside connections" at all, everyone knows the "news" you're on about here, all comes from you trawling the internet and facebooks and instagrams of Candice and the others in the band for pictures, comments and anything else you can find and that you then present it as if it was something nobody else could find. Get a life, take you're heroes advice!.

This nonsence about being in different "camps" is so stupid..
We are all dp and Ritchie fans. They are all part of the history like it or not.

I still don't like how they play Spotlight Kid. The continuous bass-drum pattern done by Rondinelli and Bürgi is missing.
