Hi mate. Thats kind. But not sure if I'm going for the day or just the evening. As I said on the other post it annoys me when bands I like clash as with massive the answer and gun.

Well it says on the back cover:

"This is a soundbpard recording. Every effort has been made to achieve optimum and uniform sound quality"

So buyer beware.

That said, I listened to it on the way home and hopes weren't too high on the mix just based on the comments in this thread. My opinion? I was pleasantly surprised. The mix was definitely touched up here and there but overall, I think it sounds like what it is; an amazing quality bootleg. I paid $15 for [sign in to see URL]'m not going to complain. Even if I paid $20 I wouldn't complain. I've paid more than that for actual boots that didn't sound this good.

As far as the performance goes, its better than what we've heard from the German shows so that's another plus.

All in all, I'm happy with the purchase but then I didn't expect him to go up and play like the 25-30 yr old Ritchie did, I'm realistic.

Re:

listened to some of it this morning.

Work and improvement have been made, no doubt - but it's a long way away from a properly mixed live album (just compare it to MIR for that matter)

Having said that, I was expecting the worst, so the improvements are most welcome. On my pc speakers the difference was hardly noticable, but on my proper hi fi set up, it's much more obvious that they have worked on it.

I'm no expert on this, so why they can't make it sound better I'm not quite clear on; in the old days the absence of a multitrack recording would be why. These days however, I'm under the impression that when you record straight to a hard drive you get all the tracks anyway?

I completely [sign in to see URL] great concert but the sound could have been touched up here and there. Drums and vocals are very high in the mix, the solos are very low. It probably would have taken a day or two to fix that and get a pro sounding recording. This is a high quality bootleg indeed.

Good document anyway.

The sound quality and especially the mix are far below today's standards. It's not too difficult to get a proper sound from a soundboard recording, even live CD's that are sold just after gigs on some occasions are in better quality most of the time. That's a shame! I even prefer listening to my bootleg from the show instead. Even tough the sound is not that full the mix is more balanced and it has a real live feeling… Well, I bought this live release anyway (that's the problem with long-time fans I guess…), but I would not recommend it to anyone except the hardcore fans!

The gig itself has some real good moments and some flaws as well. If they continued after that show it could have got a really good live experience to watch them IMHO...

The CD arrived this morning. Now on smoke. Whilst the quality is a little patchy in places I think its better than a bootleg.

Well, you know what you're gonna get. It's even mentioned on the backcover that it's just a soundboard recording. So I no reason to !@#$ about it. It's a bootleg. Nobody is forced to buy it. I'm happy that it got released.

That's certainly right, although it would have been nice to get a properly mixed CD from this show.

I've ordered it. emoticon

Its a nice, multi-page booklet with some pretty cool photos. Overall, its packaged really good.
