Re: Time for Bedlam Verdict?
It's got a good feel, but no vocal "hookline". I don't like the intro and outro chants.
Like a lot of recent Purple material I find I don't want to go back to it after a few listens.

Yes, I feel the same as you. But still want to go back to it though.

Re: Time for Bedlam Verdict?
I quite like the attitude. The song itself is interesting but for me not quite fully developed to its full potential, maybe even too short. But I love that they're avoiding any cliche or repeating themselves and that they are once more simply being spontaneous. I think the album will be as good as Now what?! And this is fine by me.

Re: Time for Bedlam Verdict?
I really enjoy the guitar here.
Not sure yet about the intro/outro vocal thing, a bit afraid I might grow tired from it eventually. But still it sounds fresh and updated to me.
But I also like the attitude, and to me this sounds more like classic Deep Purple than mk Morse had done so far. And I love that.
I'm still eager to hear the entire album.

Not bad.
I'm more interested now in "Paradise Bar".

Re: Time for Bedlam Verdict?
Not the best song they wrote in the last couple of years, but definitely a grower! Great instrumental work and not airplay friendly at all (which is good to me).
I like the intro and outro, they have never done something like this before. These could be longer though (as could be the whole track), at least with more time between the vocal lines, I guess that would build more atmosphere…
Looking forward to the album, although I can't imagine that they made something good out of Hip Boots after what I heard live and I'm a bit surprised that this is the 2nd song on the album.
The surprising could be as its title says according to someone from the band (was it Roger?), could be something we didn't expect from the band...

Re: Time for Bedlam Verdict?
By the way, I wish they removed "Deep Purple" from the Burn cover..
Would make it much more cool. :-)
