You know it seems to me that most succesful musicians really do live in cloud cuckoo land!! Glenn is a prime example of this, the guy is an absolute flake. emoticon

MKI had some great stuff and can stand on their own with most bands. Underrated, for the most part, unfortunately. I always enjoy listening to them.

I agree with LitB, most songs sound pretty good. But that's it. An exception perhaps is April, which I love very much. MK I were good, but DP became an outstanding band, after Glover and Gillan arrived. I don't want to diminish Nick's und Rod's contributions. But Blackers, Lordy and Paicey needed the input of Glover and Gillan. Which is quite astonishing. Because with Episode Six the two didn't really have great success (even less than DP) and played quite different music. But when these five found together, the magic began.

The sound of Episode Six started to get a bit heavy towards the end. You can hear the progression on the 'Best Of' CD. You can really hear how Gillan was trending vocally in the song 'Mr. Universe', not to be confused with the later 'Gillan' song of the same name. I'm sure that is what attracted Blackers to Gillan. The rest is history.
