Gigging year just got even better with tickets for Bad Company and The Who (surprise non-birthday present from my sister!). Also going to UFO, but it's same night as Joanne Shaw Taylor gig. Need to catch Moggy and co while I still can! Looking to sell the Joanne Shaw Taylor ticket if anyone interested. 28th October, Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, Stalls Row C. £20. Face value.

Re: What's your next gig?

The Who's tour has been rescheduled to April next year, so looks like my next gig is Tytan on 3rd September. I have waited 34(!) years to see them. They were formed by ex-Angelwitch bass player Kevin Riddles and for my money were one of the best bands of the NWOBHM. Great singer (Kal Swann, who went on to Lion and a Deep Purple audition) and excellent material, but failed to make it partly due to record label issues. Kevin put a new Tytan together a few years ago and this is the first time they have played Scotland since they supported Tygers of Pan Tang in the early 80s.

I'm giving BSC a miss this time. I've seen them several times and they are always great live, but I've got too many other gigs lined up at the moment.

Next gig for me should be Walter Trout. Never seen him before and I'm quite extatic!

Speaking of giving things a miss. Joe bonamassa at the Royal Albert Hall for 154 quid a ticket!

Ramblin man fair gave me 2 days of top quality entertainment for 2 days for less than that.

Whilst I know people have choices to go or not and some people will pay that, I'm afraid I'll stick with the seven times I've seen joe and enjoy the likes of black stone cherry and airbourne for fifty quid for both gigs.

The other 100 will go to a family break for a few days thanks joe.

Just look at true legend like Ritchie Blackmore not ripping the fans off that put him up there in the first place!
