Black Sabbath - Qudos Arena (Sydney)
Saw Black Sabbath at Qudos Arena, Sydney, Saturday 23rd April. Not a big fan but got a cheap ticket so thought why not?
Support was Rival Sons, saw them in Berlin and Stuttgart with Deep Purple, They were better last year than this year, pity.
Sabbath were pretty good, Ozzie was actually alright, OK at times he didn't appear to be clapping in time, he was animated, he urged to the crowd on (and they responded), admittedly he had an array of auto-cues in front of him.
Tony Iommi was good, Geezer Butler looked very fit, although the close ups of his hands really showed his age (66 years old). The drummer was Tommy Clufeto, his drum solo was really a 6 in 1, Half a dozen different solos. I thought the band had a solid sound for a four piece but at one point they introduced a keyboard player was was working a side stage, and sight unseen (except for a random head poking out the side and waving!! Didn't catch his name, could have been Adam Wakeman (son of Rick).
The queues for the merchandise stands were as long as I have ever seen.
Light show was a bit ordinary but the graphics displayed on the screens were impressive.

Re: Black Sabbath - Qudos Arena (Sydney)
They're only playing a big festival here in Belgium, so I won't be going...
Had they done a regular show, I would have gotten some tickets, but a festival doesn't interest me. I've never seen Sabbath live (I've seen Ozzy but not Sabbath).

Re:
I saw the last tour (for "13").
Not bad really, though compared to the last 'Heaven & Hell' tour with dear old Ronnie there was no comparison. Never been a huge fan of Ozzy.
Tony talks of working with Tony Martin again- I'm far more interested in that to be honest.

Re: Black Sabbath - Qudos Arena (Sydney)
I was lucky enough to see the 4 piece sabbath at the NEC in the late 90s and heaven & hell with Dio, so these announced UK shows for 2017 have little appeal to me.
